After The Storm was released in November of 1995. Four solo piano tracks and five ensemble selections make up this all-digital recording.

Seven tracks are original compositions with three classic tunes rounding out the CD.

After The Storm was produced by Dave Lee with guitarist John Mannenbach co-producing.

After the Storm was recorded, engineered and mixed by Doug Durbrow at Gino Vannelli's Inka Studios in Portland, OR.

The music on After The Storm is best described as contemporary jazz, but a closer listen reveals elements of mainstream jazz, new age and even country pianist Floyd Cramer.

Emily's Jumpin' was written for Dave's daughter Emily.

Quotes About After the Storm
  • In a city that already seems to have so many talented keyboardists, Lee's album is a breath of fresh air...The album has the melodies, musicianship and the hooks we look for in any release, local or national. 106.7 KKJZ (Now K-LITE) Portland, Oregon
  • I especially liked the title track and Jesse's Lullaby/A Child Is Born. Kudos to you for your thought provoking writing and playing. Greg Gomez, Music Director KMHD FM 89.1 Gresham, Oregon
  • Soulful, joyful, playful, serene. All of these moods are evident in Dave's music. It's music from his heart performed with love and sincerity. The very gifted artist making very genuine music. Jessica Williams, Jazz Pianist
  • I especially liked his affecionate arrangement of Danny Boy, as well as the clever way he tucked the Thad Jones classic, A Child Is Born, into an original composition, Jesses Lullaby... Lee's solo piano playing is superb and his writing  talent is evident throughout, but his treatment of the standards is why you should buy the album. Wayne Thompson, Editor Jazzscene Portland, OR
